Portugal. The Man ticket giveaway
The chance to win a free ticket to see PTM and two tickets to the sold out Two Door Cinema Club show.
I’ve got a packed few weeks of shows coming up.
This past Saturday I had the privilege of seeing The Prize Fighter Inferno at their second of two sold out shows at The Atlantis. If you’ve never heard of PFI, you’re not alone. It is the side project of Coheed and Cambria frontman, Claudio Sanchez. PFI is to Coheed and Cambria what The Postal Service is to Death Cab for Cutie. And, if all of that sounded like a bunch of nonsense—suffice it to say you could describe it as lo-fi acoustic/synth-pop with a penchant for playfully macabre lyrics. Definitely worth a listen if you’ve never heard them.
I’ll talk more about that show another time though. For now, let’s talk about the other two shows I have coming up.
This Saturday (2/24), I’ll be at The Anthem catching SNACKTIME and Portugal. The Man. Then, I’ll be back the following Friday (3/1) to see Joywave and Two Door Cinema Club for their sold out show.
And that brings us to the reason we’re here. I have ONE ticket to the PTM show and TWO tickets to the Two Door show that I want to GIVE to you wonderful readers. Read on for the details of how you can call these tickets your own and join me for these shows at The Anthem (you don’t have to stand with me).
But first, remember to subscribe so you don’t miss out on cool giveaways like these in the future and other local music news. And consider reading the short ad that I’ve tucked away at the end of this post to help keep the lights on here at Concertgoer DC.
How do I get the tickets?!
Okay, so here are the instructions for this giveaway:
First, you must be a subscriber here at Concertgoer DC. Free subscribers get one entry and paid subscribers get two additional entries on top of that. You can find buttons to subscribe up above and near the end of this post.
Second, send me an email at Concertgoerdc@gmail.com and tell me which tickets you’re entering to win (you can send one email to enter for both). If you’re already a subscriber, you can just reply to this email right in your inbox. If you’re a new sub, you can reply to the welcome email you get when you sign-up.
Finally, you can get two extra entries. One for following me on Instagram. Another for tagging a friend in the reel that I’ll be posting about the giveaway tomorrow morning. You can let me know you did either of these things when you email me (and make sure you let me know your IG handle).
The deadline to enter for the Portugal. The Man ticket is tomorrow (2/23) at 11:59pm and next Wednesday (2/28) at 11:59pm for the Two Door Cinema Club tickets. There will be two winners. One winner for the PTM ticket and one winner for both of the Two Door tickets. I know it’s a quick turnaround, so in the future I will definitely leave a larger timeframe for entries.
Winners will be notified by 11am on 2/24 and 2/29 respectively with instructions on how to claim the ticket(s).
And that’s it! If you have questions, send an email or DM me on Instagram.
I’m excited to be able to give these tickets back to you, the readers. Every view and subscription supports local music journalism, and I appreciate every single one.
Remember to stick around for a short ad at the end.
Hope to see you at a show soon,
Concertgoer DC

Oh! You’re still here. Since you read this far, why not read this short ad to help support Concertgoer DC?
If you’re an avid reader, you likely have a favorite local bookstore. However, in the age of ecommerce, it’s hard for independent shops to compete with big chains. That’s where Bookshop.org comes in. They are a certified B-Corp who gives over 80 percent of their profit margin to independent bookstores. Also, as a Climate Neutral company, they’re committed to sustainability.
When you make a purchase on Bookshop.org, you can designate a local bookshop you would like to support, or contribute your purchase to their profit sharing pool that’s split between 1,600+ independent partner stores. It’s all the convenience of shopping online at a big retailer—while still supporting small shops.
And, if you use my affiliate link, any purchase you make also helps support Concertgoer DC. I just posted a list of my favorite books I read in 2023 if you need a recommendation, or grab whatever book you have on your to-read list.
Happy reading!
